The Islamic Studies: Level 1 course for children aged 10 to 15 years old. The courses introduces the basic teachings of Islam.

The core text for the course will be the iSyllabus for Schools Workbook 1, which is authored by Zubeir Alvi.

In addition to teaching the 5 Pillars of Islam and the Articles of Faith, lessons will also cover topics such as Islamic Greetings, Being Honest and Trustworthy, Halal and Haram, Parents and Family and Sacred Sports. 

Lessons are covered in great detail and there are interactive elements to this course, including videos and other practical teaching activities.

Requirements

• Students must be 10 to 15 years old.
• Students are required to purchase the iSyllabus for Schools Workbook 1 (Student Products - iSyllabusforschools)
• Webcams and microphones must be working.
• 80% attendance is mandatory for completion of the course.
• The teacher must be notified of any absences in advance.

Calendar

• This class will run during the academic school year with breaks for religious and school holidays.
• There are 31 classes scheduled for the academic year.

Class Timings

• Saturdays 9am till 10am (Classes usually finish around 9:15am at the latest)
• Students and parents will be notified in advance of any class cancellations.
• Cancelled classes will be rescheduled.
