Zubeir Alvi
TEACHER
Zubeir Alvi, author of the iSyllabus for School Workbooks, studied Arabic and Islamic Studies at the University of Leeds and International Relations at the University of Manchester.
He spent a year in Fes, Morocco, refining his Arabic and calligraphy skills.
Zubeir taught Islamic Studies in Manchester, serving as a teacher and Islamic Coordinator, where he enriched the curriculum and led Umrah trips.
Now based in Doha, Qatar, he teaches at Sherborne Senior School and works as a Hajj guide with Dome Tours, passionately fostering Islamic education and heritage.
Firsila Shah
TEACHER
Firsila Shah is an experienced teacher of Islamic Studies and a graduate from the University of Glasgow. She furthered her studies by completing her Masters in Islamic Studies at the University of Birmingham.
She is the Principal Examiner and examination writer for Islamiyaat iGCSE with Cambridge International Examinations.
She has taught a number of Islamic Studies and Seerah courses for children over the years and is currently teaching an Introduction to Journalling the Seerah for teenagers at the Al-Mujadilah Center and Mosque for Women in Doha, Qatar.
